by JustChillin inanyone else get a food box delivered by local congregation to your door - allegedly by the society?
weird.
i looked online and found a couple of youtube channels saying the society is taking food from food banks and giving it only to their congregations.

most of us jumped for joy when they basically said that there will be no meeting in person for a long time to come.. one aspect we overlooked was how hard they hit home the "love of neighbor".
how this "love" is what makes a true christian and as a result our love for our neighbors will motivate us to stay at home.. well now they released a letter that is instructing all kh's to view this video during their local needs part.

Dont forget to send someone by after midweek meeting to knock on the door at 10 to tell you the committee is coming tomorrow at 5; ask for a confession on being at a friends home and going inside( my teenager, at a school chum), bringing in ready and willing witnesses who lived across the street from said chum; one witness was a air force man who was not baptized- wife in; loudly proclaiming it was dinner time so hurry up, then not giving direction on how to get reinstated if wanted, and telling us to not even think about an appeal.

They know who shows up on zoom. Fully expecting you to be dressed up on camera. Extra encouragement text meeting every day for an half hour or more. If you miss they call to ask of your health. Health is waning because the local food provision consists of soft potatoes.
The only ones with stable zoom are the IT guys with better access through work at home set ups.
During the WT on being friends by giving money One wag commented that the congregation sends money to branch so we need only give locally. She was supposed to say we need to make 2 donations

black lives matter and other groups have influenced citizens and neighborhoods to get rid of police and their authority.
is anyone really supportive of removing the police or cutting out law enforcement through the budget?

A local horse club ( all pretty well off girls) is training to join the sheriff's mounted patrol. Training for smoke, gunfire, the whole works. What could go wrong? I worked with a man who was an auxiliary sherriff's patrol. Part of the training was firearms as he was an unpaid deputy. Contrast a fit construction worker with a petite blonde in a real life situation.
